Edeline Mutize is making a very powerful statement with regards to the role of women in sport. What she is doing is also commendable and deserves respect of the highest order because it shows that anyone can do something to make a difference in this world that we live in today. It makes us believe that anything is possible and shows that all things can be done if you have a strong will and that you never give up. Within the South African context, women make a strong impact as they show time and time again that can be a male’s equal. A woman has a much stronger will and character and this is shown by the things that they do in their daily lives. Women endure more pain than a man in all contexts of life and living. Her social role is also a very obsolete and courageous stature that she feels it is the right thing to do to help and support these orphans and makes the orphans feel loved and that there is hope for them and someone does care for them. Ultimately she has shown that this is how women should be in our country and that women are independent and that they can do all things through god who strengthens them.

  2. This response to the text about Edeline Mutize is powerful as well as eye opening. Woman are so often thought of as inferior when it comes to causing change in the world. As this response states, causing change is everything Edeline Mutize's has on her mind and heart, which proves this "inferior" status completely wrong. Edilines efforts are so commendable as the writer has pointed out and truly a massive inspiration not only to South Africa but the world as well. The courage she has shown has not only caused awareness but also allowed other woman the chance to cause change in the world as well. I agree fully with this response as it does create this label of an independent woman and also allows for a living testimony of Edeline Mutize being able to do all things "through God who stregthens" her.
